Clients ask about their rankings the week before launch
The question usually comes on the kickoff call or just before go-live: will the new site hurt my Google rankings? SEO isn't your job, and you shouldn't have to bluff an answer.
The migration itself can go wrong in quiet ways. An old page loses its redirect. A canonical tag still points at a staging address. The thank-you page stops firing the conversion. A Google Ads landing page changes by one slash. None of it shows on launch day. It shows up a few weeks later as fewer calls, and the client remembers who built the site.
Now clients also ask about ChatGPT. They want to know whether AI tools will name them, and "we don't do that" is a hard thing to say to a client you want to keep.
That leaves two options: figure it out as you go, or hand the client to an SEO agency and lose control of the relationship. We offer a third. We handle the SEO behind you or beside you, and the client stays yours.
Fully white-label, co-branded or referral
Pick the model per client. Every model covers the same SEO work.
| What it covers | Fully white-label | Co-branded | Referral |
|---|---|---|---|
| What your client sees | Your brand only. Your client never sees OPO SEO. | Your brand with "in partnership with OPO SEO." | OPO SEO, introduced by you. |
| Who does the SEO work | We do, under your brand. | We do, in partnership with you. | We do, directly for the client. |
| What you handle | Design, build, the client relationship and client billing. | Design, build, the client relationship and client billing. | The introduction. |
| What we handle | The SEO work, the technical details and the reporting. | The SEO work, the technical details and the reporting. | The SEO work, the technical details and the reporting. |
| How you earn | You set your price and pay our partner rate. | You set your price and pay our partner rate. | 10% of what the client pays us, every month they stay a client, with no cap. Plus 10% of any migration fee. |
In every model, design and build stay with you. We don't pitch your client on anything you haven't introduced.
Five services your clients can buy from you, done by us
You choose how to package them. We do the work.
- Local SEO and Google Business Profile work: the right categories, services tied to real pages, accurate listings and real photos, so your client shows up when someone nearby searches. Our Google Business Profile optimization page covers what that includes, and the wider work is on our Local SEO page.
- AI visibility: we run the same buyer questions through ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity several times and record how often your client's business is named. That gives you data when a client asks whether AI will recommend them. Nobody can guarantee an AI answer, and we don't promise one. More on AI visibility.
- Content and on-page SEO: service pages, city pages built on real local evidence, and titles, headings and schema entered directly in the builder. See content and on-page SEO.
- Technical SEO audits: a crawl of the whole site that finds redirect problems, missing metadata, broken canonicals and other issues that quietly hold rankings back, written up in plain language. See technical SEO audits.
- Press and PR: earned coverage and brand mentions for your client's business. See local PR.
SEO site migrations from $3,200
A migration means moving a client's site to a new design or a new platform without losing the rankings it already has. Your team designs and builds. We handle the SEO side and enter it directly in the builder, whether that's Showit, WordPress, Wix or something else.
What we do on a migration:
- Record where the site stands before anything moves: rankings, top pages, backlinks and tracking.
- Map every old page to its new address, set up 301 redirects and test each one.
- Carry over tracking and Google Ads landing pages. Landing page URLs stay exactly as they are, and we test a real form submission so you know conversions still count.
- Fix canonicals and metadata, including any staging address left behind as a canonical tag.
- Send you the SEO specs (target terms, titles, headings, redirect map) before the design is final, so the build has room for them.
- Check redirects, tracking, forms and the sitemap on launch day, then watch Search Console after launch and send a written report.
We don't run Google Ads. We protect the landing pages and tracking those campaigns depend on.
Migrations start at $3,200.
Where we are with Showit
We've done migration work on WordPress, Wix and BigCommerce. Our first Showit migration is in progress, so we haven't completed one yet, and we'd rather say that plainly.
We do know where Showit's SEO settings are limited, and we plan around that before design locks. Titles, meta descriptions, canonicals and schema are entered by hand on each page. Showit builds its own sitemap, so old sitemap addresses need redirects. A WordPress form's spam check doesn't carry over, so we choose a replacement before launch.
What happens, step by step
- Access and baseline, first week. You give us access to the site builder, Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager and the Google Business Profile, plus read access to Google Ads if the client runs ads. We record where everything stands and export it before anything changes.
- SEO specs, first two weeks. Target terms for each page, titles, headings, meta descriptions, schema and the redirect map. You get them before the design is final.
- Build, on your timeline. You design and build. We enter the SEO items in the builder once the design is set.
- Launch day. We check that redirects are live, old staging addresses are gone, tracking fires, a test form submission counts as a conversion, the new sitemap is submitted and the ad landing pages return a normal page.
- After launch. We watch Search Console, flag anything the move broke and send a written report. If the client wants growth work after the move, a partner retainer picks up from there.
Tell us the launch date and we plan backwards from it.
Partner program pricing
The Partner program is for designers and agencies. These are starting prices.
- SEO site migrations: from $3,200.
- Partner retainers: from $1,500/mo, plus a $2,500 setup.
- Referral partners: 10% of what the client pays us, every month they stay a client, with no cap. Plus 10% of any migration fee.
We quote the exact number after we look at the site. Retainers are month-to-month, no lock-in. What a retainer covers depends on which of the services above the client needs.
Businesses that buy from us directly, without a designer, buy Local Core, from $4,500 a month. It's a separate product from the Partner program, and a referred client on it at $4,500 a month earns you $450 a month. If your clients are HVAC contractors, our HVAC SEO page shows the local work we would do for them.
A small family team in Morgan Hill
OPO SEO is family-run and based in Morgan Hill, California. Michael and Rayna Opoku, brother and sister, co-founded it in 2023, and Michael has worked in SEO since 2022. We're rated 5.0 on Google (6 reviews) and on Clutch. We work month-to-month, no lock-in, so we keep earning the work. The facts we publish about ourselves, the same ones we want AI tools to repeat, are on our AI info page. More about the team is on our About page.
White-label SEO questions
Will my client know you're involved?
In a white-label setup, no. The work and the reporting go out under your brand, and your client never sees OPO SEO. In a co-branded setup, your client sees "in partnership with OPO SEO" next to your name. In a referral, the client works with us directly. You choose the model for each client.
Who owns the client?
You do, in white-label and co-branded work. Design and build stay with you, and we don't pitch your client on anything you haven't introduced. In a referral, the client works with us directly and you earn 10% of what the client pays us, every month they stay a client, with no cap, plus 10% of any migration fee.
What does it cost?
SEO site migrations start at $3,200. Partner retainers start at $1,500 per month plus a $2,500 setup, and they're month-to-month, no lock-in. Referral partners earn 10% of what the client pays us, every month they stay a client, with no cap, plus 10% of any migration fee. Those are Partner program prices for designers and agencies. Local Core, our product for businesses buying directly, is separate and starts at $4,500 a month.
What are Showit's SEO limits?
Titles, meta descriptions, canonicals and schema are entered by hand on each Showit page, and Showit builds its own sitemap, so old sitemap addresses need redirects. We've done migration work on WordPress, Wix and BigCommerce. Our first Showit migration is in progress, so we haven't completed one yet. We plan around Showit's limits before the design locks.
How fast can you start, and how long does a migration take?
We record the baseline in the first week once you've given us access. SEO specs are ready within the first two weeks, before the design is final. After that the build runs on your timeline, and we enter the SEO items once the design is set. Give us your launch date and we plan backwards from it.
What happens after launch?
On launch day we check redirects, tracking, forms and the sitemap. After launch we watch Search Console, flag anything the move broke and send a written report. If the client wants growth work after the move, a partner retainer picks up from there, month-to-month.
